Happy New Year To All

I'm making this post to the last minutes before the year ends. We have prepared a lot of foods awhile ago , we have ordered our Lechon, we made mango float cake, dinuguan, cakes and salads and also the spaghetti. We are only 5 in the family plus 2 kids and visitors from bukidnon who were also staying here in my moms house to celebrate new year with us so all in all we're 11 persons, we have prepared more than what we need but that's the tradition of every Filipino family saying that "It's better to prepare more than to prepare little, that is not enough for the entire family hahaha........" anyway so much for the belief all I can say is HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL AND WELCOME YEAR 2008!!!

Paris Hilton, a granddaughter of the hotel tycoon in America can't receive any fortune from her grandad because her grandad decided to donate billions of dollar to the charity. Hotel magnate Barron Hilton will give $2.3 billion, the bulk of his fortune, to charity. Hilton's decision means that his granddaughter, socialite Paris Hilton, will be left out in the cold. Hilton, 80, bequeathed the money to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, a charity founded by his father in 1944. "We are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment," Hilton's son Steven M. Hilton, president and chief executive of the foundation, said in a statement. "Working to alleviate human suffering around the globe, regardless of race, religion or geography, is the mandate of the foundation set by my grandfather ... and now reinforced by my father." The funds will come from the sale of the Hilton Hotels Corp. to The Blackstone Group, and the pending sale of Harrah's Entertainment. The money will go into a trust but eventually will find its way to the foundation. Hilton, the chairman of the foundation, pledged an immediate $1.2 billion donation to the charity, with an estimated $1.1 billion to follow after his death. Hilton had indicated at a recent board meeting that he would follow in his father's footstep by leaving nearly all of his fortune to the trust when he died in 1979. I'm looking to my old phone and right now I'm trying to fix things because I got that phone from my sister Altesse she gave me that phone as a form of gift so I really treasured that Nokia phone . I am proud of the said place because my roots were from cebu also, The Noel's clan started from Carcar which is located in the southern part of cebu but my grandparents choose to move to the city during world warII for they have their own business already known to be the "tartanillas"which is driven by a horse, and a driver that is known to be the "Kutcheros", a traditional transportation of the filipinos . but now adays, there were already few of them because taxi's, jeeps and private automobiles are now present to transport people to different destinations.

During My stay in Cebu I was accompanied by one of my beautiful cousins, named Gretchen Mae Noel Campo, she is in her 20's, she's taking up hotel and restaurant management in one of the prestigious school there, she cook very nice, no wonder she is a HRM student and she has a lot of pretty looking friends. Right now, she is presently working in a food chain (Mc Donald) cebu city branch. Her friends called her gretch, she's approachable, kind, and friendly. I really appreciate my cousin Gretchen for accompanying me during my Cebu City visit.

I'm Back In Davao From A Chritmas Vacation In Tacurong

I'm already here in Davao City. I arrived here at exactly 12:00 o"clock in the afternoon, as I entered the gate, I directly went straight to my mom's house and ask her if where are the guys? and she answered me that your sister is not here they went shopping to the mall including Cykie Dodge my nephew, me and my mom Narcisa continue talking and sharing our experiences in the past Christmas eve because I was not here to spend christmas with her, I also shared my experiences when I was in Cotabato to have my Christmas vacation. after awhile, I go straight to my house and have my baggage filed, I'm all alone here because my wife Lyhra and Keisha my daughter is not with me right now they were still in Tacurung, Sultan Kudarat with my in-laws but they will follow tomorrow because we decided to spend the new years eve in Davao City then, I immediately opened my personal computer hoping that I could see some task to work with Payperpost, smorty, and blogsvertise but unfortunately there were no opportunities assigned to me this day but all my pending task were already approved. Im spending My christmas Vacation In Takurong

Previous days, we talk about where to spend Christmas vacation with my wife and my little daughter named Keisha. We have decided to spend our Christmas vacation in Takurong, Sultan Kudarat, which is part of the South Cotabato area then, we begin to pack our things, Yesterday, I wake up as early as 6 O'clock in the morning to clean my room and took my coffee stuff, I leave my house key to my sister Altesse because she wanted to use my Personal computer in my room and I prepared myself for the long travel. When we reached the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT), we found out that there were no transportation available for us because of the overcrowded passengers also waiting for the bus, but after an hour we luckily got a bus ticket for General Santos. At exactly 3:00 O'clock in the afternoon the van from Takurong fetched us with Lynel (the sister of Lyhra), Edlor (Lynel's hubby) and Chelsea Heather (their daughter), and right now were here already in Takurong Sultan Kudarat .

At first, Koreans does'nt know the talent of the girl of course, because she's from the Philippines, but when she sang infron of them, Koreans were shock because she has a golden voice and all of them were amage, they didn't know that this girl had a very powerful voice and they said that there's no one can beat this girl even when she's petite.

Last night I think about New Year's Resolution because when I was still in grade school studying at the Philippine Women;s College of Davao City we were ask by our teachers about new years resolution so right now , I'm thinking of what will I do to improve myself as a whole. I would like to improve my working ability regarding my plant business and to produce plant hybrids as many as I can, not so with relationships because I'm very much happy with my married life as a matter of fact, we really have no quarrels since the beginning of our marriage hahahah....... but its true , It is a 100 percent compatible. I would like also to improve my knowledge in car modification since car modification is my hobby. I hope and Pray that I could follow all that was said here in my blog post hahaha .....

It's my 34th Birthday

December 16 is my birthday. I started the day recieving birthday greetings from my family and friends, and wishes me good health and many more birthdays to come. I have decided to celebrate my birthday in my house only with my family so, me and my wife Lyhra prepared the food that we are going to cook as early as 5:00 O'clock in the morning Lyhra went to Bankerohan public market to buy the necessary ingredients for the menu that we are going to cook, we also prepare typical filipino foods like menudo , apritada, lumpia shanghai, adobo and pork barbeque that is marinated with mama sitas sauce. It is all set and done but my sister Altesse from Australia, who recently came here in Philippines to spend christmas with us invited all the members of the family to have lunch at Antonios Bar and Grill restaurant inside SM mall, along Quezon Boulevard then, as a result we ended up ordering a lot of their house specialties in the restaurant, the food was so delicious and taste very yummy, we ordered cheese sticks with dressings, nilagang baka, crispy pata, kare-kare, tinolang manok, pork sisig, pansit canton and a glass of drinks. After we finished eating, we went mall shopping and go to their grocery to buy food for this coming "nochebuena". then, we went to Karl's coffee still in SM mall and took our coffee break then, we decided to go to our farm in Mintal to see the mango trees that I myself previously induced to bare fruit, it was so fun that we all get together during my birthday inspite of our little differences which I considered it normal in a family. After that, someone raises a question of "where are we going after the farm visit"? and I suggested that it would be nice if we can show to the two kids who were here namely Keisha nicole(my daughter) and Cykie Dodge (my nephew) the tunnel made by the Japanese during world war 1 and we began telling a story all about histories of Davao City particularly the Japanese colonization, and the guerilla days and also topics about "why is it that before davao City is considered as the City of Tunnels"? and we explained it to our kids clearly then we proceed to The Japanese Tunnels to experienced what is life during World Wars. Kids were amazed and keep on asking why... why ..why............. thanks to the Japanese Tunnel tour guide who helped me explain to the kids .

The red cloned cat research is expected to be utilized in dealing with certain genetic diseases in animals and humans. He has since worked as director of research at a state-supported project to clone animals for therapeutic research.To clone the Turkish Angola cats, Kong's team used skin cells of the mother cat. They modified its genes to make them fluorescent by using a virus, which was transplanted into the ova. The ova were then implanted into the womb of the donor cat. Called reproductive cloning, the method has been mostly used in cloning animals that are genetically identical, until Kong's kittens were born with the tampered genes. The technique differs from therapeutic cloning, which is to make a ``stem cell'' that can be guided to grow into a specific body part. Former Seoul National University professor Hwang Woo-suk used this method in his human stem cell cloning research, which was later found to have used fabricated data.

iPhone tops list of 2007 Google searches

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Technology and entertainment topped Google Inc's searches in 2007, with the iPhone grabbing the No. 1 slot on a list of the fastest-rising search terms in the United States, the company said on Tuesday.

"iPhone, of course, is a word very few people typed in a search box in 2006," said Marissa Mayer of Google, an Internet search engine. "It didn't exist."
Apple rolled out the iPhone, which is a mobile phone, music and video player and Internet browser device, in the United States last summer.
Four social networking sites made the top 10, including Webkinz, which grabbed the No. 2 slot. Webkinz is a stuffed animal that customers can register and play with online.
Celebrity news Web site TMZ ranked third, while transformer toys took the No. 4 slot.
Transformers are the wildly popular toys that shift their shapes, for example from cars to alien robots, and they got a big boost from the 2007 hit movie "Transformers."
"There's a lot of interest in the celebrity culture, television and movies," said Mayer.
YouTube, the video-sharing Web site, grabbed the No. 5 spot while Club Penguin, a networking site for children, came in No. 6. Social networking site MySpace took the No. 7 slot. Heroes, Facebook and Anna Nicole Smith rounded out the top 10.
Google also released a list of fastest-rising global search terms and the iPhone topped that list too.

The Spice Girls have opened their reunion world tour with a sell-out concert in Vancouver, Canada.
More than 15,000 fans watched Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Geri Halliwell on stage for the first time in nine years. Their last tour date as a five-piece was in Birmingham in 1998, shortly before Halliwell left the group. The singers, who announced their comeback in June, have spent the past three weeks rehearsing for the tour.

Sunday's gig, at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, marked the start of a sell-out tour which comes to the UK later this month. The two-hour show saw the stars perform 22 tracks, including their nine UK number one singles, and new single Headlines. Ad targeting improves as Web sites track consumer habits

NEW YORK (AP) -- Based on the weather reports and restaurant listings you check out online, Yahoo Inc. has a good idea where you live. Based on searches you've done, the Web portal might also know where you want to go.

Don't be surprised then to suddenly see an advertisement on flight deals between those two places. It's what United Airlines did with an ad on Yahoo earlier this year as people browsed for something completely unrelated to travel.
Elsewhere, online hangout Facebook is mining friends' buying habits, and major Internet portals have bought companies to expand their reach and capabilities for "behavioral targeting" -- all so advertisers can try to hit you with what they believe you're most likely to buy, even as doing so means amassing more data on you.
"When you are online today, you've been labeled and tagged as this type of consumer in milliseconds," said Jeff Chester, executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy. "All of a sudden you are exposed to a vast number of invisible salespeople who are peering over your personal details to figure out the best way to sell to you."
Behavioral targeting, commonly accomplished by depositing tiny data files on personal computers to keep track of surfing patterns, has raised privacy questions and, at least in the case of Facebook, user complaints.
From the perspective of Web sites and advertisers, though, behavioral targeting can bring to the rest of the Internet some of the relevancy Google Inc. and others successfully mined for billions of dollars with text-based search ads.
"Everyone's trying to find the next, best mousetrap to compete with search," said Adam Broitman, director of emerging and creative strategies with ad agency Morpheus Media LLC.
Although behavioral targeting isn't right for all advertisers, it has become increasingly important as companies try to break through the clutter. The research company eMarketer projects that spending on behavioral targeting will nearly double to $1 billion next year and hit $3.8 billion by 2011.
Targeting has been around as long as there has been advertising. Automakers promote themselves in car magazines. Political campaigns send mail to likely voters. As advertising moved to the Internet, ads for diapers clung to parenting sites.
With search came contextual targeting -- the ability to target messages even more precisely based on search terms or keywords appearing in articles. Behavioral targeting brings capabilities to sites without good or reliable keywords -- for example, a social-networking profile that touches on dozens of hobbies and interests at once.
Read enough golf articles online and a data file will be put on your computer labeling you a golf fan. When you're on a Web site on cooking, don't be surprised if ads for golf clubs follow you there.
The concept has been around for years, but enough Web sites are now participating that advertisers can still reach a sizable group even if they target narrowly.
They can also target more smartly using surfing patterns across a broader set of sites, or in Yahoo's case letting United Airlines customize ads by inserting city pairs and prices specific to the individual user.
Consumers are having trouble understanding all that Web sites are up to, said Ari Schwartz, deputy director of the Center for Democracy and Technology.
The Federal Trade Commission recently held hearings at which consumer-protection and privacy groups including Schwartz' called for the creation of a "do not track" list.
The Web portals, particularly Time Warner Inc.'s AOL, are stepping up their educational efforts in response to privacy concerns, trying to sell Internet users on the idea that if they are to see advertising to support free services, a targeted, relevant ad is far less annoying.
They also stress that they aren't capturing sensitive information like names and e-mail addresses, and in many cases consumers can take steps to decline targeted ads.
Indeed, companies aren't going as far as they could.
"At the end of the day, if behavioral targeting is being used and consumers get annoyed, they are going to take it out on the advertiser or the publisher that placed the ad," said Michael Cassidy, chief executive of Undertone Networks, which contracts with a network of third-party sites to run ads.
Most Web sites and marketers have been shunning the ultimate targeting -- ads that greet you by name.
Yahoo could easily do that using registration information, but "I'm not sure people would like that or not," said Richard Frankel, Yahoo's senior director of product marketing.
Many have declined to sell ads based on diseases you've read about.
"We could track them and target ads for sensitive health conditions and get lots of money from pharmaceutical companies for that, but there are certain things we've chosen not to do," Dave Morgan, a senior AOL advertising executive who founded Tacoda, a behavioral-targeting company AOL bought in September.
"Sensitive" includes all targeting to HIV and cancer. Beyond that, health ads are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, Morgan said.
The Network Advertising Initiative, an industry trade group that counts Yahoo along with AOL and Microsoft subsidiaries as members, began a study about seven months ago to clarify the boundaries.
Carl Fremont, whose advertising agency Digitas handles many pharmaceutical campaigns, said several ideas have been shot down by lawyers at drug companies. He would not name any, and three major drug companies did not respond to requests for comment.
Fremont, the agency's executive vice president, said he sees opportunities in reminding known patients to take their medication or perhaps try a competing drug.
Despite the promises, targeting isn't always appropriate for Web sites and advertisers.
Although sites can charge more per targeted ad, fewer readers see any given one, resulting in less revenue in some cases, said Brian Quinn, vice president of ad sales for The Wall Street Journal's Web site and three other Dow Jones & Co. properties.
"We just end up selling the frosting and not the whole cake," he said.
And while targeting may work for cars and travel, it's more difficult to gauge a person's interest in soda or satellite TV service. In such cases advertisers often prefer mass amounts of cheap, untargeted spots, said Sarah Fay, chief executive of ad agency Carat.
Advertisers and Web sites also have to figure out how far they can push without alienating their users.
Many Facebook users, initially unaware that tracking was occurring, have complained that the site went too far in generating endorsements based on friends' online activities. On Thursday, Facebook agreed to offer better notification and controls, and the company is counting on users to feel more comfortable about the tracking over time.
Users' comfort with data profiling has indeed shifted over the years.
Google faced criticism when it introduced an e-mail service that paired ads with the words inside private messages. Millions of people now use Gmail with scarcely a blink.
Users will eventually embrace the latest tactics, too -- and by then, they'll complain about even deeper levels of intimacy yet to be invented, said Tracy Ryan, professor of advertising research at Virginia Commonwealth University.
"You want to have enough targeting that a consumer notices the message and pays attention, but you don't want it to be so obvious that they are thinking (there) is targeting," she said. "That would be scary."

Five die in Pakistan school bombing

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) -- A man posing as a mentally ill visitor planted a bomb that exploded in an Islamic school, killing at least five people and wounding two others near Quetta, Pakistan Monday, police said.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack against the Maulvi Yaar Mohammad Madrasa and it was not immediately clear why the Islamic school was targeted, according to the spokesman at the Qilla Saifullah police station.

A new wrinkle in the Michael Jackson saga: On Monday, a California bail bondsman named Richard Hopp filed a request for Notice of Default in Santa Barbara County against Jackson.
The notice falls under California Civil Code 2924b. It means that the bail bondsman wants to know about the status of the $23 million lien on Jackson's only real asset, Neverland Ranch.
Hopp could not be reached on Thursday night, but a source said that when the real story finally surfaced about this latest incident, "It will make O.J. happy to get off the front page" and be replaced by Jackson.
This could mean a lot of things, including: Jackson needs his Neverland Ranch to secure or pay off a bail bond for some reason. Or it could mean nothing. But in Jackson’s world, the possibilities are endless and nothing is surprising.

Jackson’s legal woes are mounting — his lawyer, Thomas Mundell, goes into court on Friday begging the judge in a lawsuit not to make Jackson pay up $3.8 million. It’s really sad.
In a public filing with Los Angeles Superior Court, Judge Joseph Biderman presiding, Mundell writes: "it was clearly understood by the parties that Mr. Jackson did not have the cash available to make the settlement payment at the time the settlement agreement was signed…
"Mr. Jackson was undertaking to refinance certain assets, including his Neverland ranch, to obtain the money…the settlement payment would be made from such borrowed funds…Mr. Jackson reasonably anticipated that the refinancing would close by November 15, 2007….due to circumstances completely beyond Mr. Jackson’s control, that has not happened yet, although the closing one refinance transaction appears imminent…as a result, it was impossible for Mr. Jackson to meet the November 15 deadline…"
Will this work? Who knows? Jackson’s pathetic financial situation is crumbling, and there is apparently no one to help him. Neverland is still in default, and the latest news about a bail bondsman’s involvement doesn’t bode well.

30 grams chicken breast, cooked and sliced with skin

20 grams romaine lettuce

25 grams red coral lettuce

10 grams tomiao

60 ml teriyaki sauce

2 tbsp. miso dressing

On a plate, place romaine lettuce and red coral lettuce as bedding. Add tomiao. Then add sliced chicken teriyaki. Baste with teriyaki sauce. Pipe miso dressing then serve.
