Rice problem in the Philippines is getting worst because of corrupt officials

Philippine economy is now very unstable, I remember during my childhood days and high school days that Philippine economy is experiencing a hard time in price of oil but we dont have a rice problem then, all families even they belong to the poor sector they still can purchase enough supply of rice for their family to eat. It is difficult during those days but all of us (Filipinos) survive but today is the worst thing that I experienced in my life. you can see people falling in line in the NFA (National Food Authority) outlet just to buy a 2 kilos of rice. Some people are bringing empty cartoons and sacks which they will use not for rice usage but they will use it as floor matting's because they will sleep right in front of the market rice outlet so that by tomorrow they will be sure to get their 2 kilos of rice for they are the first in line. what's happening with this country? The people from the government are telling that Filipinos will never get starve because their are enough supply of rice and they are making some solutions to this problem. We can always hear that in media that their is an NFA rice that is sold at a lower price compared to the commercial rice. But what is this happening right now!, there were also reports that NFA officials are making money out of their own stocks. Like for example, Here in Davao City particularly at the tefasco storage area in Tibungco, it was said that the 5 thousand NFA bags of rice were rebagged by the NFA people. The NFA official was ask by one of the ABS-CBN radio reporters early this morning asking him that why did you rebagged those NFA sacks of rice?, he said that he was instructed by the GRECON officials and members to do it. It simply means that they are doing such thing to earn money out of that low selling price of NFA. They rebagged the 5 thousand sacks of rice so that they can command a higher price. People can no longer identify if that kind of rice is an NFA rice because it was already rebagged and their were no markings identifying that this type of rice is an NFA rice. Philippines economy is getting worst because of this corrupt officials in the government. If people from the government will just be honest in helping this country, I think there will be no problem like what we are experiencing now.
