Preventing Insects To Enter My Mango Farm

Last Friday February 22/08, I decided to have my farm be clear from pest and some other harmful insects. Early morning on that day, I immediately gathered all the materials that's is needed for the activity. Insecticides like Alika, an insecticide, miticides for mango hoppers and cypermethrins and my powerspray machine together with its' 150 meters pressurize hose are packed up for mintal area. My brother Junix of (teebob.blogspot.com) helped me during that day. He also assist our spray man named "Lakay" an Ilocano boy of Digos City who is very much expert in mango production. We worked as a team, me as a machine operator and a chemist because I was responsible in mixing all the chemicals and secret formulations intended for the infestation or pest clearing and my brother is the one who assist the spray man particularly in pulling the 150 meters pressurize hose to have an easy maneuvers for the spray man in his spraying positions. We finished spraying all the 144 mango trees in thre farm at exactly 4 o'clock in the afternoon. The activity was successful because after spraying, we individually check all mango trees for possible remaining insects but there was none. It was totally eradicated, Thanks to the new chemical (Alika) that is provided by Syngenta company. It is so effective in fighting mango hoppers, mites, thrips, and other harmful insects. I would like to share my video footage that was taken during that day.

farming is fun but It's hot under the sun.

  13. I'm a mango grower for the last 20 years in San Roque Digos City. It's sad to say that mango, production is sometiomes frustrating because of its erratic price and pest infestation is severe in some intances. But for me , it is still my certified money makers.
